Over the last few months, we’ve been working on something exciting and are proud to officially present our new website along with our new brand! It’s been a long journey to perfect, but we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
Starting our journey in April 2022, we made the leap to have a complete rebrand of what used to be ‘United Diesel’. This began with a change in our name to United. We felt that United Diesel was no longer fully representative of what we do as a business, as we service for petrol vehicles and turbochargers. Working with diesel engines is where we excel, but we have skills and knowledge that can be applied to much more. This was paired with a new strapline, Accelerating Performance. Our new look needed direction and, to coincide with the new look, we invested time into the development of brand messaging which included our new USPs:
These USPs truly capture us as a business. We continue to grow and ensure we use innovative techniques and technology so we can give the best service possible.
One of the most exciting parts of the rebranding process was our new logo. The existing brand mark had been part of United Diesel since 2013 and was mainly inclusive of an antelope which represented our family origins in South Africa. As a family business, we didn’t want to lose this integral part of our heritage but understood we needed to create a robust and strong logo to stand out against the rest.
With this new logo, it was time to add some more vibrancy to our brand colours. Our original green was taken forward and made bolder. This was complemented with a dark diesel blue as our main background colour, pairing this with white across the website created a strong and modern look, exactly what we were looking for! This strong, bold look has been translated across the entire website. We opted for clean blocks, with simplistic icons and images that clearly convey who we are and what we do.
Furthermore, it was important that we kept consistent across all our branded assets; this meant new designs for all our existing marketing materials (and some new ones!). We had all new letterheads, business cards, and compliment slips created for our day-to-day business operations. If you’ve visited us recently, you may have spotted our newly wrapped United vans!
One of the most exciting new pieces of marketing material was our all-new Services Brochure. Available to download from our website, as well as being given out to clients, this brochure contains all of United’s services and products, along with our history. We were keen to see our new suite of photography stand out within this brochure, showcasing our amazing staff and the work that we do day-in-day-out.
