This vehicle had an over fuelling problem that under high pressure looked like a small leak, but once tested under Low pressure, it was more than obvious why the vehicle had a problem. The injector filter was examined which showed no damage or contamination present so we were pretty sure no debris from the fuel system had made its way into the injector. The fact that the vehicle had an over fuelling problem before the injector was removed also eliminated damage to the injector during removal which are the 2 main causes of injectors leaking or becoming stuck open. Upon closer inspection, it was evident that the damage to the orifice plate was probably caused during installation at the factory.
